Law, Forms & Tools

Businesses & Proprietors

A business guide should start with the legal owner, activity and registrations. A proprietorship and a company carrying on similar work do not automatically use the same return or tax computation. Keep commercial sales, accounting profit, taxable income and taxes collected from customers distinct.

1. Map the registrations and activity

Record the legal identity, PAN, VAT or excise registration where applicable, business premises and sector permissions. A new product, service, branch or location can create a separate requirement. Check the change before assuming that the original registration covers it.

2. Connect the daily records

Keep sales and purchases traceable to invoices, delivery or service records and payments. Reconcile cash, bank and platform settlements to gross receipts and explain fees, returns and credit notes. A net bank deposit is not a substitute for the underlying sales record.

3. Build the tax reconciliation

Start with reliable accounts, then identify adjustments for depreciation, restricted or unsupported expenditure, timing, losses and any properly established concession. Keep input VAT eligibility separate from income-tax deduction. Match withholding and instalment credits to their evidence.

4. Close each obligation separately

Use the appropriate return, payment and authority record for each obligation. A tax filing does not complete a company filing, a municipal registration or a Fund contribution. Retain the acknowledgement or approval for each task and record the person responsible for unresolved work.

5. Choose your next task

Open the topic matching the task, then select the relevant article or official service. Check its period, source status and review note before using it. For older transactions, keep the earlier source set and working rather than applying the current-year explanation automatically.
